Can I attend if I am not married?Yes, while the event is centered on strengthening family relationships, we welcome all types of family units, whether married, unmarried, or engaged.

What happens if it rains during the event?The event will continue, rain or shine. We do not have indoor activities and shelters available in case of inclement weather. This is part of camping outdoors.

Will there be any vendor booths at the event?No, unless requested, we will not have vendors offering products and services related to family life, wellness, and outdoor gear.

Are pets allowed at the event?All attendees are to regard rules and guideline of the campground location. You are solely responsible for your pets. Pets are allowed at the camping event at an additional charge, including service animals.

Can we bring our own camping gear?Yes, you are welcome to bring your own gear, such as tents and sleeping bags. If you don’t have camping gear, we provide resources that may be provided at an additional cost.

What is the difference between Tent Membership and RV Membership?Tent Membership includes tent camping for two nights, T-Shirts, a Saturday brunch or meal, entertainment, meet and greet, cookouts, discounted ticket events and exclusive perks. RV Membership includes all the same benefits but with upgraded RV accommodations.

Can I upgrade my membership from Tent to RV later?Yes! If you want to switch to the RV Membership, you can upgrade before an event by paying the difference in price. It is very rare a couple downgrades from RV to tent.

Our favorite family-oriented event is Nature's Family in partnership with Outdoor Life Leadership and YAMM (Youth Achieving Moral Maturity).

Do you host events for unmarried black couplesYes, we do! In addition to events for married couples, we are excited to host events designed specifically for unmarried Black couples who are planning to marry or are engaged. These events will focus on preparing for a strong, healthy, and loving marriage, with activities and resources tailored to help couples build a solid foundation for their future together. Do we need to bring anything?Just yourselves and an open heart! Everything you’ll need for the event, including materials and dinner, will be provided.

What all will we do at the retreats?All camp retreats are different by theme including a seminar with activities for couples and groups of couples. A brunch is included between 9am-1pm. You will have to attend a retreat to find out more. First-time camp retreat married couples are welcome to attend their first camp retreat free to decide if they would like to purchase a membership. Just know you and your spouse will have fun enjoying your time together before and after the seminar. Dinner not included.

Can we share our experience with friends and invite other couples?Absolutely! We encourage members to invite other Black married couples who would benefit from the 1Ness Camp experience.

Does the couple have to register for the treat together?Yes, for all events both spouses are required to register together. Identification will be required upon check-in of all retreats.

How long are the 1ness Camp Retreats?The 1ness Camp Retreats are normally 1-2 days, typically 2 days, on a weekend. Check-in mid-day on a Friday leave on a Sunday morning.

If my spouse cannot make it to a retreat, can I bring someone else?No. The retreats are for the registered married couples only. Both spouses have to attend. If a spouse cannot make the retreat we suggest, generously offering another married couple to full-in for you or you not attend. You can sale your registration to another married couple if you cannot attend. Any fees paid are non-refundable. Therefore, it is highly encouraged to offer your spot to another married couple to enjoy.

What should we bring to make the most of our retreat experience?Bring comfortable outdoor clothing, a journal, a willingness to grow, and an open heart for deepening your marriage bond.

Can we bring our children on the retreats?Most retreats will be only for married couples. The retreats are to focus on the couple as one before God and with God. There will be occasional retreats that will allow overnight camping with the children of the family as a Family Retreat. Stay tuned......

Can couples who identify as a different sex register for a retreat?As Independent Fundamental Baptist believers, we believe and live by God created all as they are born. We uphold the constitutional right to gather and observe our belief, therefore, we do not allow couples who identify as a different other than the sex naturally born as to register for a retreat. Couple have to be a registered and conduct selves in the manner of sexual origin they were born.

How often does the 1ness camp meet?1ness Camp meets two times a year, in the summer and spring. The summertime meets once a year for a camping retreat. The springtime meets once a year for a marriage retreat at a romantic, warm and cozy location. Travel may be required depending on couple's resident location.

Can same sex couples register for a retreat?As Independent Fundamental Baptist believers, we believe and live by there is one man and one woman united in holy matrimony. We uphold the constitutional right to gather and observe our belief, therefore, we do not allow two same sex persons can register for a retreat, couple have to be a male and female as the camp upholds the Christian marriage as one man, one woman.

What should we bring for the retreat?Please look at the retreat camping list for suggested detailed items you will need for any of our outside camping retreats. See List A brunch will be served Saturday. Dinner is not included. We suggest you bring food for Saturday dinner and/or Sunday breakfast as this is your time to rekindle as one, make it special!

Our marriage is not having challenges, can we attend a retreat?Yes. The retreat is not for marriages having challenges. The retreats are to strengthen your marriage with or without challenges, to receive invested essential tools and practical ideas to help you build your marriage with a camp experience. As well as get to know other married couples.
